Some might call this a "phone booth" but they would be mistaken. A "phone booth" is a structure with a door, a light, a fan, and possibly a local telephone book. Examples of New York City phone booths can be seen here, here, here, and here -- among many other places. This is a payphone enclosure on a pedestal. It is not a phone booth.
