I spotted this copy of “A Sinner’s Prayer” stuck under the handset of a midtown Manhattan payphone. I have seen printouts of this prayer around town for a few months now. I am not religious but I have to admire the persistence of whoever is leaving these prayers on subways, under payphones, and in other urban nooks and crannies. In that spirit of respect I did what I sometimes do when I see things like this. I picked up the phone and called it in. Click to listen:
