Payphones at the Masters? Not So Much.

This picture appeared a few days ago at Golf Digest Magazine’s Instagram page. Taken at the Masters Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, the photo shows several individuals using what appear to be two banks of public pay telephones. Golf Digest commented: “Payphones are still relevant here. 😂”

Golf Digest: Only at Augusta…

Alas, these are not actually payphones. No cell phones are allowed on the course at the Masters, so these free phones are provided as a courtesy by the Club. Whether these are coin-fed pay telephones or not it makes for an amusing picture of what our world would look like if cell phones did not exist.
