"Cabine of the Dead" Phone Booth Short Film
“Cabine of the Dead” is good Monday-morning zombie/phone booth fun from France, directed by Vincent Templement. My friend, the French film director Hugo Massa, had this small critique:
Huge mistake though, historically speaking, France Telecom replaced the coin system by magnetic chip-cards a long time ago. I can’t remember ever seeing a coin-fed payphone in France, even in the countryside where I grew up in the 1990s. I can see how coins are way more cinematic though… and if you look closely you actually never see him inserting the coins, you just hear them! Brilliant!
