LinkNYC: Iron Rain?

I thought this was one of LinkNYC’s 2rd Grade Poetry Month screens.

That is in fact an AP headline. What the hell does it mean? I’m sure it leads to something relevant and of merit, but LinkNYC observers are offered no clue… Clickbait at its finest, except that we have no ability to click on this shit. Product management at its most self-serving.

To make sense of this I would have to stop in my tracks, take however many minutes of time out of my day and go to my smartphone to look up “chance of iron rain” on the newsfeeds to know what was going on here.

There is no way to go to the LinkNYC kiosk and ask “WTF was that?”

I cannot stand the “blink and you miss it” paradigm of DOOH.
