Payphones at Carnegie Hall

I finally got at the payphones in Carnegie Hall for the first time since pandemic. Carnegie has a vax card requirement for entry. This made me think they’d only allow people in if they had tickets for a concert or other legitimate business there. Maybe that was true before but I got through today with no questions asked.

There is said to be another phone upstairs, behind ticketed entry. The last concert I attended here was a few months before the pandemic and from that experience I have no memory of spotting payphones anywhere at Carnegie except these in the lobby. My source is reliable so I must have missed that other phone. Maybe next time.

Numbers for these phones are 212-664-9344 and 212-246-9356. Both are disconnected and both remain listed on The Payphone Project.
