The Payphone at Crabtree Falls State Park. 540-377-9941
Photos by Daniel Hopsicker, showing an off-the-hook PTS payphone with the number 540-377-9941, located at 11039 Crabtree Falls Highway, Montebello, VA. I called the number several times but got nothing but busy signal. These photos are from last month. Is it possible the phone remains, as seen in these photos, off the hook? If so that suggests no one has touched this phone since Daniel Hopsicker took these photos over a month ago.

The majority of Pennsylvania state parks have public phones and the park takes very good care of them. They take incoming calls too, but too bad all the phones are always located outside the ranger office. Instead of a passing-by-walker, an angry park ranger would most likely pick up instead if you call it. Those things have VERY loud ringers.
