There Really Did Used To Be Payphones All Over The Place

Rummaging through some pictures from 2009, remembering why I maintain a mental tic that reminds me “There used to be a payphone at this corner”. It’s because there really used to be a payphone at almost every intersection and streetcorner. These pictures all come from a single day in November, 2009. Every last one of these phones is now gone.
