Payphones Past

US West Payphone Commercial, 1993

U.S. West set up a (fake) payphone spy cam in this 1993 television commercial. The cast of characters includes a young girl stuffing a clown into the payphone, several people hanging up the phone by slamming it very very hard, a man who appears to be a police officer or park ranger on horseback, and an elderly woman yelling “Shrivel!”
“U.S. West Payphones. For every call you make. For every call that has to get through.”
