New Bern, North Carolina - I spent over 35 years working for Western Electric/AT&T and now my pension check comes from Lucent Technologies. The phone booth was offered by my neighbor who acquired it in Havelock NC by someone wanting to get rid of it. It was in bad shape with 1/2 of the windows broken. I rehabed it, repainted it and installed it in the yard. I believe it is a circa 1934 booth from England. It currently has a false phone in it since the price of pay phones has gone up. I recently was given a pedestal pay phone which I am going to add to the booth. Phone doesn't have a number but if I ever decided to supplement my retirement funds by activating I will let you know. Long live the Phone Booth.
