I caught these Verizon payphones a couple of weeks before they were plucked off the sidewalk outside Soloman Liquor on 34th Avenue in Astoria. I knew these phones well, but I do not know if I got many more pictures of them besides these.
I don't remember the last time these phones worked, but it had been a long time since these Verizon telephones allowed people to make telephone calls.
