Wavy Metal Grids
By the way, not everyone knows the purpose behind these weird-looking wavy metal grids (which happened to be located next to one of the emergency call boxes in this photo series). These metal grids are designed to prevent flooding in underground subway stations that were prone to flooding in the past.
